The Dirty Blondes presents

All actors, directors and playwrights met in a room for the first time on Saturday, August 18th at 8PM. All were randomly assigned to teams (six playwrights, six directors, and fifteen actors), and had just one short hour to review what props the actors had brought and possible themes.
The prompt for plays included: 1. The Devil must be included as an important point in the plot 2. All time and locations must be Modern Day, U.S.A. 3. All plays will be no longer then 10 minutes All playwrights went to their homes to write through the night and have a complete titled script submitted by 7:00 the next morning. Everyone meets to get a first look at the script for the play they will be performing in less than 12 hours. Once initial read through is done and all the necessary changes have been made, the playwrights are sent home. Rehearsal continues until 5:00PM. |
