In Aleppo, two American Army Rangers rescue an injured Syrian woman about to give birth. At a nearby hospital, a neonatal nurse with an unwavering sense of duty struggles to save the lives of infants as her hospital is bombed.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT

Darcy Parker Bruce is a playwright and sound designer from New Haven, CT.  Her plays have been produced or developed at Dixon Place, Great Plains Theater Conference, The Bechdel Group, 20% Theatre Chicago, Exquisite Corpse Company, and NYC's Fresh Fruit Festival among others. She holds an MFA in Playwriting from Smith College and was a recipient of a 2017 Tennessee Williams Scholarship at the Sewanee Writers' Conference. Her play Soldier Poet will receive its world premiere later this year with Washington D.C.'s Theatre Promethus, and her ten minute play East of the Sun is being published later this summer through Applause/ Hal Leonard’s Best American Short Play series. Currently she is part of the faculty at Eastern Connecticut State University.
