The Dirty Blondes presents
The Play-in-a-Day Festivals bring together a group of playwrights, directors, and actors to conceive, write, and perform several short plays over the course of 24 hours. It allows exposure to new artists, a chance to get back in the game if an artist has been off the theater grid for a while, and an easy way to work with different artists with different backgrounds.
If you heard about #TheSummit, we decided to throw the idea that there aren't enough plays written by female playwrights out the window. This time all plays were written by female playwrights. This was The Dirty Blondes' fourth festival with previous events bringing in more than 1000 audience members, garnering a listing in The New York Times and as a Critic’s Pick in The L Magazine. Special thanks to Stephen Cyr, Justin Garascia and Amanda Treppa for their help during the festival! |
