Indulge yourself in a little winter fore-play.

The Dirty Blondes brought together a group of daring and salacious playwrights, directors, and actors to conceive, write, and perform seven short plays over the course of 24 hours. The culminating performance at Galapagos Art Space featured seven original 10-minute plays centered on each of the "seven deadly sins" and set in modern day New York City.  Founding members Ashley Jacobson & Alexandra Siladi will teamed up to create immoral interludes performed throughout the night.

SIN IN THE CITY was an L Magazine's Editors' Pick for the weekend.

Playwright Ashley Jacobson describes SIN IN THE CITY as "SMOOTH, SEXY, SMART, and SURPRISING" in a Q&A session with nytheater.com.  Click here to read the whole interview.

The First Meeting: Saturday, February 9th - 8:00 PM

All actors, directors and playwrights met in a room for the first time on Saturday, February 9th.  All were randomly assigned to teams (seven playwrights, seven directors, and twenty actors), randomly assigned a sin and had just one short hour to review what props the actors had brought and possible themes.

All playwrights went to their homes to write through the night and have a complete titled script submitted by 7:00 the next morning.

Rehearsal: Sunday, February 10 - 8:30 AM

Time for everyone's first look at the script. The next eight hours will be the only rehearsal time they have before the performance.
